Naxxramas Parsing Rules

This article will go through the various changes and adds excluded from bosses in Naxxramas on Warcraft Logs rankings. If you have any suggestions or questions, please join us on Discord to discuss.

Boss Changes

As always, all trash mobs are excluded from boss parsing.

Noth the Plaguebringer

Damage to Plagued Champion/Plagued Warrior is excluded.

Grobbulus

Damage to Fallout Slime is excluded.

Gluth

Damage to Zombie Chow is excluded.

Loatheb

Crit debuff from spores (ID: 29232) is not allowed on other bosses. This will invalidate the rankings on the boss it is used on and the Complete Raid (Speed, Boss Fight and Boss/Trash) rankings.

Anub'Rekhan

Damage to Corpse Scarabs is excluded.

Grand Widow Faerlina

Damage to Naxxramas Worshippers is excluded.

Maexxna

Damage to Maexxna Spiderling is excluded.

Instructor Razuvious

Damage to Deathknight Understudies is excluded.

Gothik the Harvester

Gothik is excluded from Damage All Stars and from Complete Raids boss ranks.

Kel'Thuzad

Phase 1 is excluded from the encounter, similar to Vanilla Naxxramas. Damage to Unstoppable Abomination, Soldier of the Frozen Wastes and Guardian of Icecrown is excluded.

Buffs

Externals Cap

On Retail, for Season 4, we are experimenting with Externals Cap. We have now implemented this for Classic also.

This means you will only be able to get Power Infusion from the equivalent of one priest. The number of externals received cannot exceed the number of which could be given to one individual by one partner. However, you may receive each buff from more than one player, so long as the number of buffs you receive remains under the cap. This is implemented from 18th October and does not apply retroactively.

Any parses that break these restrictions will not be ranked.

World Buffs

A majority of world buffs, such as Arcane Focus, Zeal, Might of Malygos, Fury of Ragnaros, Arcane Might, Dark Whispers, Blessing of Blackfathom and more are not allowed.

Soul Revival

As a lot of you have noticed, the prepatch event is still up on some servers. This means the Soul Revival buff has been obtainable for some. We are now banning this buff from the upcoming reset (18th October) in each region. We believe the current parses are easily beatable, so this won't apply retroactively.

Battle Squawk / Battle Chicken

Battle Squawk from Battle Chicken is banned. This buff will invalidate your boss parse and complete raid parse.

Fishliver Oil, Light of Elune and More

We are going to be stricter on use of one use items such as Fishliver Oil and other quest items. These items are banned for parsing, but they are fine to use for progress guild ranks.

Other

We have some other rules that invalidate logs.

Life Tap

Excessively life tapping to pad healing parses will invalidate your kill.
