Archon Tooltip Addon Help
This article will answer some common questions and explain some common issues users have with the Archon Tooltip Addon.
How to Install
You should be able to see an Addon tab. You can download the Addon and keep it up to date there.
- Enable "Install Character Tooltip Addon and Automatically Keep Up-to-Date". We'll auto-select your dataset based on your characters, but you can opt-in to more.
This also shows you when the latest data is from, and how long until the next update. As long as the client is running, it will auto-update the data for you when possible.
Why Can't I See Parses?
There could be a few reasons.
- The Player Doesn't Raid
If a player doesn't raid, their information won't be in our database.
- The Player is Doing Content Below the Difficulty Breakpoint
Archon only wants to show parses for players that are likely part of the high-end culture. We've done this by only including the more difficult content parses in the addon. For example, data from Normal difficulties is not included at all.
- The Player Hasn't Killed Enough Bosses
You may be running into an internal player protection feature we call a "parse gate", and the player you're looking at hasn't passed it yet.
We wanted to show players in their best light and give them a chance to prove themselves. To do this, Archon hides all parses on tooltips until a certain number of kills have been obtained to give players a chance to improve their best parse before it is shown.
There is a set threshold where parses aren't shown until a certain number of kills. For Heroic in Retail and Cataclysm, this is set to "20 kills", or roughly 3 full clears. Retail Mythic parses are impressive early on regardless of percentile, so a lower threshold of "5 kills" is used.
- You Might Have Another Conflicting Addon Enabled
Try troubleshooting your addons. Turn off all other addons except the Archon Tooltip addon to see if something else is conflicting with it.

Why are my Character's Parses Out of Date?
Archon refreshes Addon data once a week. If your raid has taken place after this refresh, you'll have to wait for the next one to see it appear.
Gold tier Patreon supporters get daily refreshed data. The subscribed player's parses are updated daily for the players around them, even non-subscribers. And the subscribed player gets to see everyone else's daily updated parses, too!
Can I Pick my "Main"?
You can select which character is displayed as your "main" in your user settings, under "Main Character".
I Don't Want to Participate. How Can I Hide My Parses?
If you don't have one yet, you'll need to make an account on Warcraft Logs and claim your characters.
Once logged in, you can hide individual character parses from displaying in the addon in your user settings, under "Addon Visibility".

What Features do Subscribers Get?
All users get access to the core addon and data for every character, which is updated weekly. Subscribers get a few more features, such as:
- Subscribers can use Shift to get more information in their hover tooltips.
This gives you encounter-level data in-game.
- More Frequent Updates
Subscribers get daily data updates with a bit more detail. This also updates YOUR data for everyone else daily.
