SoD Blackwing Lair Parsing Rules
This article goes through the various rules, banned items, and adds excluded from bosses in Blackwing Lair for Season of Discovery on Warcraft Logs rankings.

Difficulties
Like Molten Core, Blackwing Lair will have 3 difficulties in the dropdown. These are named 'Normal', 'Heroic', and 'Mythic'. To be in the Mythic category, you must have at least the Black trial and two others enabled.
Normal: 0 Trials selected
Heroic: 1-2 trials, or 3-4 trials without Black
Mythic: 3+ trials with Black required
Sizes
With BWL allowing up to 40 players, there are two size categories of 20 and 21-40 man. The 20 man difficulty is the default and shown on the front page.
Boss Changes
All parsing rules are made mainly by community feedback, suggestions, or proposals. Join us on Discord if you wish to contribute.
Razorgore the Untamed
Phase 1 is turned into downtime, and only damage to Razorgore counts as boss damage.
Vaelastrasz the Corrupt
Vael is removed from Damage All Stars and Complete Raid.
Broodlord Lashlayer
No rules.
Firemaw
No rules.
Ebonroc / Flamegor
No rules.
Chromaggus
Chromaggus is removed from Damage All Stars and Complete Raid.
Nefarian
Damage and Healing done in Phase 1 is excluded. Phase 1 is also turned into downtime, and only damage done to Nefarian counts.
Complete Raid
Complete Raid on Warcraft Logs means doing the full raid in one go. This has a clear starting point and ends when the last boss is killed.
Doing a Complete Raid rewards you with Complete Raid parses. This includes Speed parses for Guilds and Boss Fight DPS parses for personal parses.
Boss Fight DPS
This is the parse for all boss encounter DPS combined, only counting kills. This also requires you to do the full raid in one raid day. Remember that damage to Vaelastrasz and Chromaggus is excluded, but the time for those fights is still included.
Boss and Trash DPS
This is the DPS parse for all boss + trash encounters combined, counting everything. This requires you to do the full raid in one raid day. Everything (unless explicitly said so above) is included for overall boss/trash, even excluded adds, and downtime is not factored in.
Other
Temporal Acceleration
Using Temporal Acceleration during P2 of Razorgore (or other bosses) is banned. This will lead to your log being blacklisted.
Power Infusion
As PI on Vanilla is a pure dmg % increase, we attribute the damage gained back to the priest.
World Buffs
- Battle Shout from the Warrior Class Quest is banned.
- Traces of Silithyst is banned.

Excessive Life Taps
Excessively using Life Tap to pad healing parses will invalidate your kill.
