SoD Molten Core Parsing Rules
This article goes through the various rules, banned items, and adds excluded from bosses in Molten Core for Season of Discovery on Warcraft Logs rankings.
Please note this does not affect Vanilla Era parses.

Boss Changes
All damage done to trash during a boss fight is excluded by default.
All parsing rules are made mainly by community feedback, suggestions, or proposals. Join us on Discord if you wish to contribute.
Lucifron
Damage done to Flamewaker Protectors and mind-controlled players is excluded.
Magmadar
Damage done to Core Hounds is removed.
Gehennas
Damage done to Flamewakers is removed.
Garr
Damage done to Magmakins and Firesworn is removed.
Baron Geddon
No rules.
Shazzrah
Damage done to Image of Shazzrah is removed.
Sulfuron Harbringer
No rules.
Golemagg
Damage done to Core Ragers is excluded.
Majordomo Executus
Damage done to Majordomo Executus is excluded.
Ragnaros
Damage done to Sons of Flame is excluded.
The Molten Core
Damage done to Primal Flame Elementals is excluded.
Complete Raid
Complete Raid on Warcraft Logs means doing the full raid in one go. This has a clear starting point and ends when the last boss is killed.
Doing a Complete Raid rewards you with Complete Raid parses. This includes Speed parses for Guilds and Boss Fight DPS parses for personal parses.
Boss Fight DPS
This is the parse for all boss encounter DPS combined, only counting kills. This also requires you to do the full raid in one raid day.
Boss and Trash DPS
This is the DPS parse for all boss + trash encounters combined, counting everything. This requires you to do the full raid in one raid day. Everything (unless explicitly said so above) is included for overall boss/trash, even excluded adds, and downtime is not factored in.
Other
Power Infusion
As PI on Vanilla is a pure dmg % increase, we attribute the damage gained back to the priest.
World Buffs
- Battle Shout from the Warrior Class Quest is banned.
- Traces of Silithyst is banned.

The items currently banned are:
Excessive Life Taps
Excessively using Life Tap to pad healing parses will invalidate your kill.
